As a North American Account Executive (Account Executive) in Metabiota’s InsureTech Business Development Team, you will: (1) serve in a consultative sales role, (2) offer state-of-the-art epidemic enterprise risk solutions, and (3) bring leading-edge computational products to the (re)Insurance market.

The Account Executive must be business savvy, financially oriented and results driven, with a style that is energetic, nimble and innovative. Working collaboratively with an exceptional cross-functional team of computational scientists (analytics and modeling), mathematicians, actuaries, epidemiologists, virologists and ecologists, this Business Development Account Executive will have the opportunity to create a new standard for (re)Inurance enterprise risk analytics at the forefront of a market changing ground-floor opportunity.

A keen financial mind coupled with an insurance background in strategic products, as well as an understanding of capital modeling optimization, enterprise risk management, and comprehensive risk initiatives are essential. The overarching mission is to become a credible and trusted risk advisor for Metabiota’s U.S. (re)Insurance customers.

The North American Account Executive will report to the Global Head of InsureTech Business Development and will build market presence and forge deep relationships at the C-Suite level (including Chief Actuaries, ERM and Capital Markets Executives).

Corporate Structure:

This position will report directly to the Global Head of Business Development (InsureTech) Megan Stewart Hodge.

Serving as a member of the InsureTech Business Development team, this role will interface closely with: the Senior Director of Product, Simon Tuck; the Head of Corporate Marketing, Jen Bruursema, and the Senior Director of Data Science, Nita Madhav. 

Nathan Wolfe, Founder and Chairman of the Board, plays a crucial role in vision, mission and strategy for Metabiota. His ground-breaking book the “ The Viral Storm” and chronicled works illustrate the spirit of Metabiota’s story.


  • Develop sales and distribution channels to socialize a new comprehensive epidemic risk analytics offering in the (re)Insurance market
  • Develop and manages the account strategy for customers, working collaboratively with product management, and marketing.
  • Develop new and cultivate on-going high-level client and partner relationships with support and guidance from the Global Head of Business Development
  • Drive market awareness and revenue growth in the sector
  • Develop a network of key market influencers and thought leaders in North America
  • This position will be based out of your home office and will require up to 50% travel within the United States. Residency close to a major airport is highly desired.


  • An undergraduate degree from a top university in business management, risk management, finance or mathematics
  • 10 or more years in the (re)Insurance, intermediary or consulting arena
  • 5 or more years in consultative sales of complex enterprise level solutions and products to leading (re)Insurance companies
  • Experience with prospecting, closing and creating enduring relationships
  • Ability to achieve revenue and margin objectives for the North America sector
